How Many Signups Should I Take?

We’ve gotten quite a few photographers asking us how many signups they should be willing to take per game. This is a great question, and the answer will vary depending on your comfort level, the positions you’ll be shooting, as well as how much playing time the players receive. From our experience, we generally recommend 3-5 signups per game as a baseline. If you feel like you can manage more than that and still get the requisite shots, then great, go for it. But remember it’s better to be safe than sorry. The last thing you want is to start getting refund requests after parents have received their photos!

Another good way of handling this, while maximizing your profit, is to take 3-5 signups PRE-game, and then wait and see. If you feel like you’re getting what you need during the first half, maybe you can look at taking some additional sign ups at halftime. That way you know you won’t be overloaded, and you can make all of your customers happy.
